- A photograph of Flight Lieutenant Gordon Ross in military dress. Gordon attended St. Andrew's from 1907 to 1913. In 1915 he joined the war effort with with Royal Naval Air Service, working as a scout along the coast of England. He was later transferred to a motor patrol service aboard the H.M.S. Arrogant. During a raid on Belgium city of Ostend, he was killed in action May 10, 1918.
