- A photograph of Captain Arthur Kilgour '05 in military dress. Arthur attended St. Andrew's from the opening of the school in 1899 to 1905. He volunteered for World War I and was first employed as an assistant to the Active Duty Operational Support (ADOS), as well as a vehicle provision officer for the First Canadian Army. He helped to maintain army vehicles with great efficiency, some historians believing Kilgour to be a large part of why there was never any serious vehicle provision problems. When being promoted to lieutenant (and later captain), Kilgour flew in the Royal Flying Corps. He was killed in action on July 27, 1917, due to wounds from a plane crash in Dover, England.
