- A photograph of Captain Howard Harris '03 in military dress. Howard was one of the first students at St. Andrew's, attending the school from 1899 to 1903. He worked as a lawyer at the Banker's Bond Company and was a lieutenant in the 48th Highlanders of Canada. In 1915 he travelled to England to join the 11th Essex Regiment, and participated in the Battle of the Somme and Battle of Ypres-Passchendale. He was awarded the Military Cross in 1917 for directing his men with cool-headedness and skill. He was killed in action on February 22nd, 1918.
