- A headshot photograph of Officer Harold E. Davies '17 during World War I. Harold attended St. Andrew's from 1912 to 1917, and played on the hockey team and 1st rugby team. During World War I, he enlisted in the Royal Flying Corps as a 2nd Lieutenant, and was shot down over Germany and taken prisoner. He managed to survive World War I and return to Toronto, where he worked for the Toronto Transportation Company (TTC) and The Reinhart Brewery. At the beginning of World War II, he again joined the R.C.A.F. as a Flying Officer and served until the end of the war. He was one of the only six Canadians who had served in all four air forces: Royal Naval Air Force, Royal Flying Corps, Royal Air Force, and the Royal Canadian Air Force.
