Middle School Beyond the Gates, 2019-2020

Scope and Contents: In September, students in grades 5 to 8 participate in an outdoor educational experience called Beyond the Gates. Grade 5s participate in a 3-day, 2 night camping trip. The Grade 6 theme is Community Building. The Grade 7 theme is Leadership Development,with a two-night program that includes one overnight, where the boys sleep outdoors and cook dinner over a fire. Grade 8 boys spend one night in a cabin and one night tenting in the wilderness, canoeing, portaging, and witnessing the beautiful fall colours.
