- The Governor General's award given to Charles Eddis '44 in 1943 and 1944. This Canada-wide award is given to the graduating student with the highest standing for university entrance. Charles attended St. Andrew's from 1935 to 1944, and was Head Prefect, member of 1st Cricket, Review editor, and cadet corps Sergeant. After SAC he served a year in the Canadian navy and then graduated from Harvard Divinity School. For most of his life he served church communities and later settled at the Unitarian Church of Montreal.
