- 1 rifle : metal & wood; 94 x 5 cm
- Public Description
- A BSA No. 2 bolt action rifle that was awarded to Frank "Bud" Cox '33 during his final year at St. Andrew's. While at school Bud was a Prefect, a member of First Rugby, and a wrestling champion. In 1931 he tied for first place in the cross-country run with his lifelong friend Jim Hamilton '33. After St. Andrew's he served in the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1942 and was later discharged in 1946 as a sub-lieutenant. Afterwards he served as a pilot instructor in the Commonwealth Air Training Programme in Canada, England, and Northern Ireland.
