- Public Description
- A portable writing desk, along with some postcards, an ink well, and a math protratcor, all belonging to Donald B. Spence '37. Professor Spence attended St. Andrew's from 1931 to 1937, and in his grad year won the Ashton Medal in English and the Wyld Prize in Latin. He was also an editor of The Review and a librarian. After graduation he attended the University of Toronto and earned a B.A. in Philosophy and English, and later a post-graduate in Internatonal Law. For most of his career he taught at the Osgoode Hall Law School (now York University). He later retired to Muskoka, making regular trips to England. He had a lifelong passion for history, the arts, and the legal profession.
