- A silver cross decorated with motifs of maple leafs and the letters "GVIR" in the center. Attached is an indigo ribbon.
- Public Description
- A Memorial Cross medal belonging to Lt.-Col. Robert Junkin of the class of 1907. He is the only Andrean to have been awarded the Memorial Cross. Junkin attended St. Andrew's from 1902 to 1907, and after graduating joined the 5th Field Company in 1914 during WWI. He was awarded a Military Cross for gallantry and resourcefulness at Courcelette on the Somme, presented to him by King George V. A few years after the war ended, Junkin passed away as a result from his war injuries. His widow was awarded the Memorial Cross as a result.
