- Public Description
- A photo album belonging to Hugh Johnston from the year 1912. Photos include shots of the Rosedale school, as well as multiple students and teachers, all with names and dates. Hugh Johnston attended St. Andrew's College from 1909 to 1914. He was a part of the Jockey Club at SAC, and had gained fame at school for catching the mumps. After graduating, he enlisted in WWI and survived the battle of Vimy Ridge. He later re-inlisted for WWII, joining The Black Watch (Royal Highland Regiment) of Canada. In 1918 he recieved the Distinguished Service Order and Military Cross medal.
